Catacombs and Spire continue where Ancients left off, like molten magma rumbling deep below the ground then exploding in sparks and flames while lava bombs come pounding down from out of the sky. With these tracks there is some sense of the band finding their way. However, by Lunar Dawn they are masters, writing an epic saga of musical expression with a more confident breadth and nuance of sound. There are really great moments throughout.
